“Collectors are happy people”~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Do you remember art in your home when you were a child? Did it inspire you or fascinate you?
Do you believe art is important to have in your home?
Are you intimidated when going into an art gallery?
How often do you go to an art museum?
Would you ever consider commissioning an artist to create a work of art for you? What would it be of?
When you go to someone’s home and the owner has quite a collection what do you think? How does the home make you feel?
Do you know what type of art you prefer?
Do you own a favorite piece of art? Why is it your favorite?
Have you inherited a work of art?
How do you think having art in the home affects your children?
Are you a collector? How did your collecting start?
Do you believe purchasing art is a good investment?
Have you ever furnished a room around a piece of art?
Has a work of art ever made you cry?
Do you buy art from the heart or the head?

If someone has a lot of art on their walls, my eyes are very busy fixating on one or two of the pieces. My recent experiences in art museums was frustrating in a way because I like to stare at a piece for awhile, really taking it in. In a museum, there is so much and I become overwhelmed after a while.
Wouldn’t it be fun to sleep over night in the Musee D”Orsay? You could really take in your favorites.
Mary
Beautiful Work ,….. I paint oils and watercolors also.
Yes that would be unbelievable to sleep at the Musee, I’m sure we would meet up with some spirits Mary. I remember going to the L’Ouevre and found it so overwhelming too. I am a big collector of art, I love being surrounded by beautiful things. Thanks for visiting Mary.
I checked out your art Rod, lovely. Thank you for stopping by 🙂
This painting is so beautiful! What colors! I mostly paint abstract, and have just started selling my art as prints with fine art America! Art makes me happy! There’s such a deeper connection to one’s soul in the action of painting, or looking at a piece of artwork!
Beautifully said Jaqueline, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment I really like your abstracts.
I always love your work.. As for art on your walls you should see my home my artwork is every where.. my wife always picks her favourite pieces and puts them up.. So whether I like them or not I have to look at my work all the time.. 🙂
I have quite a few pieces of my art on the walls as well. When I take them down for a show it feels very stark. That’s great that your wife loves your work and wants to display them. Thank you Martin, I really appreciate you leaving a comment. 🙂
