First of all let me wish you a Happy Fourth of July! What a great month to celebrate my first “Featured Artwork” offer. As you remember, this artwork will stay on my website until July 31st. Any artwork that is not sold will go back into my inventory for my next art show.
I have quite an inventory that I have been saving to now be revealed and give you a hint of my future show. Each month I will be offering a new inventory. This sneak preview gives you an opportunity to purchase some of my favorites. A few of these are also studies for larger pieces. If you would like one of the “Featured Artwork” images to be made larger for you, please let me know. We can talk over size, scale and price.
Featured Artwork: “Point Lobos” the amazing clear greenish blue water, contrasting the natural pinks and green blues of rocks and foliage inspired this painting. I could see this piece eventually becoming a beautiful 36″ x 36″ square “Cold Wax” and Oil painting. It is getting me so excited talking about it I feel a need to paint it soon.
I probably have been inspired as many times to create a piece of artwork of “Paradise Valley” as Cezanne had painted “Mont Sainte-Victoire”. I am in love with this view from my window and I will never be able to satisfy my need to create it.
“Oak Glen” even though it is only 4″ x 6″ I could easily see it expand into a 24″ x 36″ canvas. It’s not about the size, it’s about the impact.
“The Grove at L.G.” Is a winner just the way it is. I first painted it in acrylic on beautiful Arches oil paper, very archival. After the acrylic set for a while, I layered oil paint to glisten and give more depth and color. It really does glow in person.
“Napa Morning”, will definitely be in my next line up of paintings. I love how the underpainting shows through. The subject matter will allow for great placement of color. It actually inspires me to redo the piece in oil, acrylic or “Cold Wax” and oil. So many options for this one.
I hope something catches your eye and if you have any questions or even want to see in person, please contact me here https://janetvanderhoof.com/contact/ I will respond as quickly as possible.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the monthly “Featured Artwork”. Do you like the idea?
Thank you so much!
